Below, is a note from the co-chairs of the newly formed search committee. They will be meeting in the near future and we will updating you as things proceed.  We've set a tentative date of Sun. Feb. 8th, for a full membership meeting to discuss the 6 month Board Report, an update from the search committee and the details of this year's major fundraiser.

Dear Members:

As you all know, Rabbi Weinberg has informed us that he will be interviewing for a Rabbinic position in a couple of synagogues.  Interviewing is not tantamount to leaving the YIWH, and we hope that after looking elsewhere he will decide to remain as our Rabbi because ( to quote the Wizard of OZ) "There's no place like home". However, because a final decision has not been made, the Board of the YIWH has asked us to form a search committee to begin the process of looking for a new Rabbi, so we are fully prepared should Rabbi Weinberg decide to take a position elsewhere. 

The search committee has been formed including Avi Robinson, Stu Kesler, Carolyn Ganeles, Michael Snyder, Fran Wittenberg, Zvi Goldfischer, Jeremy Pava, and Stan Rutstein. We have been in contact with Rabbi Schwarzberg from the YU/ RCA placement office and plan to be in touch with both NCYI and YCT (Yeshivat Chovevei Torah) in our search for candidates for the position of Rabbi of the YIWH should Rabbi Weinberg take a new position. We will keep you informed as the process moves forward.
