19th Annual Yahrzeit Commemorative Lecture

Our Speaker: Rabbi Ronald Schwarzberg

Rav Schwarzberg

Rabbi Ronald Schwarzberg is a graduate of both Yeshiva University's Yeshiva College as well as the Ferkauf Graduate School of Psychology, and he further received his ordination from the Rabbi Isaac Elchanan Theological Seminary (RIETS).


He was the former longtime spiritual leader of Congregation Ahavas Achim in Highland Park, New Jersey. Rabbi Schwarzberg is now the Director of the Morris and Gertrude Bienenfeld Department of Jewish Career Development and Placement, a division of Yeshiva University Center for the Jewish Future.


He is nationally regarded, a brilliant orator, and an incredibly dynamic individual.


He speech is titled "In the Aftermath of Death: The Jewish Way of Healthy Coping" and has been appreciated and found valuable to so many already.



Venue: Time and Location

The Commemorative Lecture will take place Sunday evening, July 18th. The keynote speech will commence at 7:30pm. The program will be preceded by Mincha and followed by Maariv. It will take place at the Young Israel of West Hartford, which can be found at 2240 Albany Avenue, West Hartford CT 06117.



About the Yahrzeit Commemorative Booklet

As in past years, Yahrzeit booklets will be distributed that include the names of family members and others whom we wish to remember on this occasion. These booklets are then used when remembering departed loved ones during Yizkor services.


For inclusion in the Yahrzeit Commemorative Booklet, please complete your submission no later than June 21st. Even if you are unable to take part in the booklet, there is no cost to attend the lecture and it is sure to be both an educational and inspiring evening.
