The Dinner Committee of the Young Israel of West Hartford is excited to inform you that on Sunday, March 11, 2012, we will be honoring Tsion and Anita Cohen and Steven and Debra Luger, at our Gems and Jewels Gala Dinner to be held at Beth El Temple, with Rabbi Baruch Hilsenrath as the keynote speaker.

Thanks to their wonderful dedication, expertise, and commitment, the Lugers and the Cohens have made volunteering and community service look easy. Their efforts help to sustain the daily functioning of our synagogue. They are truly the lifeblood that nourish and sustain the Young Israel of West Hartford and create a welcoming and unique place spanning the generations.

The Young Israel of West Hartford is our family, and it has served, and continues to serve, as a source of inspiration, support, and fond memories in so many of our lives and in the lives of our loved ones. As a family, we all need to work together to make this event a success and to keep the Young Israel vibrant.

The dinner presents a great opportunity for us to celebrate and raise the funds necessary to continue providing the outstanding spiritual guidance and educational programs which currently exist.  Each year our shul assists individuals in our community and without donations from individuals like you, this would not be possible. Donations help sustain us and benefit the community which we all serve.

To commemorate the occasion and to pay tribute to our honorees, we are planning to showcase a beautiful Scroll of Honor that evening and later have it displayed at the Young Israel. Please take this opportunity to send a personal message to the Lugers and/or the Cohens via the forms below. That evening will have a presentation running of all the personal messages.  We need your support to help ensure the success of this event.

Thank you for your time and consideration and we look forward to hearing from you.

Sincerely,

Shayne Kesler             Harriet Rosenblit                     Fran Wittenberg
