Dear Young Israel Family,
As certainly seems to be a recurring theme these past several weeks, this Shavuot will be unlike any Shavuot we have celebrated in recent years. Unfortunately, we will not be able to gather in our shul or anywhere to daven, stay up all night nor spend Shavuot days steeped in communal Torah study.
However, with each challenge comes an opportunity. As we have witnessed throughout these past several weeks, the current reality has given birth to broader local, national, and international opportunities for collaboration, learning and unity. As we approach Shavuot, we are thrilled to have been able to host, co-sponsor and participate in so many of these incredible programs.
Nevertheless, Torah study still remains a central component of Shavuot and the Shavuot experience. It is the Torah, after all, we are celebrating. I am pleased to share with you this special Young Israel Shavuot Torah Self Guide - filled with accessible independent learning materials for all ages and levels!
To help facilitate using this special packet over Shavuot (and to save you from printing 92 pages!), we are also delighted to share that we have professionally printed these guides and they will be available for contactless pick-up tomorrow outside my house from 9-10:30 AM and from 1-3 PM. If you need to work out other arrangements, please be in touch with me directly!
Wishing you all a wonderful, healthy and Torah-inspired Shavuot!!
Sincerely,
Rabbi Tuvia Brander
