Rabbi Brander's upsherin this week was a huge success!

Together, we managed to raise over $1200 and give the Rabbi a #4 haircut (just like he wanted). The Rabbi showed off his impressive backward aleph-bet skills and made a beautiful bracha on honey to symbolize the sweetness of the Torah he will now be able to study. I want to thank the following families for donating generously: Aroesty, Bitton, Black, Ganeles, Goldman, Goykman, Hawkins, Jesin, Kaufman, Kesler, Laufer, Leichtberg, Loew, Luger, Pava Jr, Pava Sr., Rifkin, Rosen, Schikman, Winokur, and Zablotsky. Special thank you to Amy Zablotsky on a job well done with the Rabbi's haircut and to Ronit Kaufman for envisioning and organizing this entire event! We know it's hard to give a squirming child a haircut but your patience with the subject was amazing. Also a special thank you to Tehilla and the rest of the extended Brander family for being present at this joyous occasion.
We are so proud of our mitzvah rabbi. Only s'machot!
