Siyum Tanach

4:15 PM - 9:00 PMTemple Beth Israel; 2626 Albany Avenue; West Hartford, Connecticut 06117
We are delighted to announce and invite you to this year’s annual Young Israel fundraiser honoring Elisheva & Dr. Zev Davidovics and Daniella & Rabbi Avi Robinson on Sunday, June 10, 2018, at the Beth El Synagogue. We are excited to be honoring these two families as both personify and embody the values and commitments that are at the core of our Young Israel of West Hartford community.
As Rabbi Brander discussed in his Shabbat Drasha, this year’s dinner theme will revolve around a communal Siyum Tanach - a celebration marking the completion of our communal study of the entire Tanach. We believe that coming together as a community in the weeks leading up to the Siyum and then celebrating together the completion of the Tanach is a wonderful way to both honor the Davidovics and Robinsons and continue their legacy and commitment to Torah study and growth.
You can purchase tickets and ad journal ads for the events below. In addition, it is our pleasure to invite you to participate in the learning component of this exciting undertaking. We have divided up the entirety of Tanach into separate manageable sections. Simply click here and sign up for a portion (or more). You can participate in whatever way feels comfortable for you--sign up to learn on your own, with your family, find a chevruta, or start a whole learning group! Below are some resources to help get you started and we hope to be integrating our individual learnings into our upcoming classes and learning programs. If you have any questions, please reach out to Jo Bruce, jo.bruce72@gmail.com, or Hannah Braune-Friedman, hannah.braunfriedman@gmail.com.
Sign up now! Don’t wait, your favorite bit might get taken!
We look forward to learning with you and celebrating together on June 10th!
Sincerely,
The Young Israel Siyum Tanach Fundraiser Committee
